Fiji’s first two Bachelor of Engineering students have graduated with first class honors after three years of study in Malaysia.
They were both honored with distinction by the Malaysian based Asia Pacific University College of Technology and Innovation and the Staffordshire University of the United Kingdom.
Vilimone Qioniwasa, a Fiji National University Lecturer and Livai Sakeo, a naval officer both specialized in Telecommunication/Network.
Ratu Semi Seruvakula, on behalf of the iTaukei Affairs scholarship committee, says Malaysian universities’ fees were much cheaper than their counterparts in Australia and New Zealand.
“That is why we chose Malaysia and the standard of its universities are as high as those in New Zealand and Australia,” Ratu Semi said.
He said the two gentlemen’s successes must be commended because they are role models to future students of the Asia Pacific University College of Technology and Innovation in Malaysia.
