Palau visitor arrivals strong for 2011

Palau’s tourism industry has seen an upturn, with almost 20,000 more people visiting the island nation in the first ten months of this year than for the corresponding period of 2010.

The Island Times reports visitor arrivals currently stand at 90,457.

The Palau Visitors Bureau says arrivals from the Republic of China and Japan continued to show an increase with ROC increasing by 11,857 and Japan increasing by 8,502 compared to the total arrivals as of October last year. However Korean arrivals decreased.
