Samoan coconut oil exports to Malaysia surge

Samoa has seen a surge in coconut oil exports due to improved copra supplies reports Radio New Zealand.

Samoa’s Reserve Bank notes that the Pacific Coconut Oil Company had a 90 per cent increase in exports in August.

Trade for that month was worth over US$600,000.

Most of the coconut oil produced by the company is sent to Malaysia.
