Malaysia, China helping Fiji build infrastructure

Fiji’s government says it remains committed to improving the country’s infrastructure, even though it’s no longer receiving support from multilateral organisations for these projects.

The Fiji Sun quotes Attorney General and Minister for Industry and Trade Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum as saying the government has put in a big effort through the Department of Roads in building infrastructure.

“W are still focusing on infrastructure development through the help of other development partners such as China and now the EXIM Bank of Malaysia and various other sources,” Sayed-Khaiyum says.
