Agreements worth RP$464.5 million were signed at a five-day trade expo that ended in Jakarta on Sunday.
The Jakarta Globe reports this was a 26 percent rise in trade deals over last year’s figures.
Furniture products led the transactions says Bayu Krishnamurthi, deputy trade minister.
Other goods dominating the Trade Expo Indonesia included agricultural products, handicrafts and jewelry. More than 8300 buyers from 92 countries attended this year’s trade expo.
Bayu says the government is optimistic that Indonesia can book $200 billion from its exports this year, up 26.6 percent from last year.
