PNG wants to import Indonesian rice

Rice may be exported from South Sulawesi in Indonesia to Papua New Guinea following the postponement of exports to Korea.

The National reports the South Sulawesi agriculture office’s chief in charge of food plant productions Andi Muhammad Aris  as saying PNG had sent a request.

“Stock wise, we are ready, but South Sulawesi’s Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) is still studying the export possibilities to PNG,” he said yesterday.
